If you were asked to name the top 5 most polluted cities in the world, which ones would make your list? It’s likely that at least one city in China would come to mind: Beijing. Breathing in dirty air is the price we pay for living in large cities.

One artist is trying to develop aesthetically-pleasing buildings that double as a way to make the environment cleaner and healthier. In the midst of chaotic Beijing stands one of his designs: a “smog-eating” tower that uses ionization to turn polluted air particles into clean and purified air.
