Want to Build a Rocket? It’s Easier Than Anyone Would Think!

  • .This Is a Great Weekend Project for the DIYer or Science Enthusiast!

When you think of a rocket, you probably think of something from a science fiction movie or even something that would be launched by NASA. In other words, you likely think of something that shoots straight up into the air and even into outer space. Well, as cool as many of us think rockets are, and as much as we might like to build one of our own, that type of rocket typically just isn't feasible for someone outside of a space agency.

That doesn't mean you can't still build your very own rocket, however. In fact, we have a really cool alternative we're sure you'll like. It's a rocket-propelled centrifuge, which means that instead of shooting straight up into the air, it goes round and round in a circle at very high velocities. Plus, you don't need fancy or high-tech equipment, because it uses model rocket engines! We really like this DIY project for educational use, because it's a great way to teach students about physics.

To learn how to make this awesome rocket-propelled centrifuge at home, please continue to Page (2) for the instructions.
