I will admit that when I stumbled upon this map it was like discovering gold.
I was so excited that I texted all of my friends to tell them about it and they, of course, being the preppers that they are ran to their laptops and computers to see just what their chances were of being destroyed by a nuke.
Now with tensions mounting over this whole Russia / North Korea / Syria situation people are now more than ever running to prepare their shelters, food stockpiles, and water rations.
But before you spend thousands upon thousands of that hard earned retirement money on building a state of the art fallout shelter let's take a breath and see just what are your chances of getting hit by a nuke are.

This map is a little too obvious. You choose your city and pick a bomb. The result comes back you die. Isn’t this obvious? A better thing would let you choose bomb drop location and then choose your location. This way you could see if it’s the blast or fallout that would get you.

Why worry about something you have no control of
I survived the Cold War near Naval and Air Force based…I’m not going to start worrying now. Death will come when it comes.
I would want to be as close to the impact zone as possible. Don’t want to be injured.
I’d be more concerned with the grid going down first, then some type of virus getting loose second. A nuke is much more merciful.

I don’t live anywhere that I would be concerned of a nuke, maybe I should be(radiation posioning) but more fearful of a emp taking out the grid. I live in a pretty cold area in the winter that worries me, if be fine, I’d survive (even though the suck factor would be unreal) I’m actually more afraid of starving people conning to rob me or kill off wild game for 1 meal. Having to make the decision to part with my food or protecting it. With the nuke thing, I just don’t worry about it. Hopefully I’d die instantly or be lucky enough to be “out there” far enough it wouldn’t effect me too badly
Who cares. If they ever have a nuclear war, those in the blast sites die an immediate and as merciful death as could be expected. Everyone else in the world dies a slow, tormentive death afterwards.
