There are a lot of benefits to homesteading, including independence and self-sufficiency. There's just nothing like knowing that you're not dependent on anyone and that you can grow your food and live off the land for as long as you need. However, there are some challenges to many of the most common aspects of homesteading. For example, many homesteaders have chicken coops, but it's inevitable that you'll eventually have a mice problem, simply because what mouse can resist a beautiful, cozy spot to curl up in?
However, a mouse infestation can ruin all of your hard work and put your chickens at serious risk. That's why we were very excited when we came across the podcast from The Frugal Chicken that explained how to keep mice out of your chicken coop. This podcast explains how to keep mice from being attracted to the feed and bedding you use for your chickens, and can help prevent a dangerous infestation.

I don’t have chickens now, but had them the entire time growing up and they would kill a mouse so fast it wasn’t funny. We had some hens that would eat them some would just walk away.
Mine will peck them to dead and leave them for me to find..lol
I don’t see any evidence of or any mice in my chicken coop, however, they’ve been seen in my garden shed where I keep the chicken food in a metal garbage can
My chickens kill mice and gophers.
When I see some of the posts from this site , I believe they are writing it for city people who know nothing.
For real. Keep mice out of your stuff. Hmmm.
