[PODCAST] Keep Chickens Safe By Keeping Mice Out of Their Coop

  • As the website, The Homestead Survival notes, getting mice in your chicken coop is way more than a nuisance. In fact, it can be dangerous:

    Mice pose a serious threat to your chicken coop in that they carry a number of diseases that can be very harmful to the chickens. The mice are often attracted to the feed that is commonly given to chickens. So it is important to know how to go about safely preventing the mice and not harm the chickens in the process.

      I don’t have chickens now, but had them the entire time growing up and they would kill a mouse so fast it wasn’t funny. We had some hens that would eat them some would just walk away.

      I don’t see any evidence of or any mice in my chicken coop, however, they’ve been seen in my garden shed where I keep the chicken food in a metal garbage can
