While you might find yourself using this ice maker more often in the summer, it's great to have on-hand if and when SHTF. It doesn't rely on a local power source and its ice can be used to tend to a wound or to keep frozen food cold as long as possible. Plus, if you're having a party, you never have to worry about running out of ice!
