Mountain Lions are beautiful yet dangerous creatures. They are insanely fast and vicious when it comes to their prey.

Normally they are not one that you will come across unless you are deep into the woods where they dwell. So imagine these hikers surprise when not only do they encounter one but they see it take down its prey just a mere few feet from where they are hiking.

What I love is at the end how they are more concerned with others coming up and being a part of this potentially dangerous situation. It's nice to know they were looking out for their fellow man.

After 10min the buck was exhausted with the mountain lion hanging on the muzzle for so long… eventually the deer collapsed into an almost lovers kiss with the cougar… both exhausted… when finally the mountain lion goes for the throat…

This footage was not filmed overseas in a remote jungle area this occurs all the time in our own backyards. This particular event occurred at Ranch San Antonio park in Northern California. While our national parks are amazing places to visit you must always be on the lookout for animals. After all, that is their territory and we are merely guests there.
