While I'm sure many outdoorsmen who may disagree with this list (everyone has their own opinions) we have found the following knots to be the most useful for everyday survival. They can each be used for a variety of things and are all pretty simple to learn.
- Half Hitch Knot
- Fishermans Knot
- Prusik Knot
- Truckers Hitch
- Clove Hitch
Once you have these down, you can go and attempt more advanced knots that will also help you in any survival situation. There are many to choose from and each one has their uses. Not only are these great for survival but also in homesteading and even for the occasional camping expedition. For the more serious knots (the ones that are hard to get out of) we will be covering them all here soon so stay tuned!
