This DIY Double Barrel Smoker Requires No Welding!

  • Step 2: The Plan

    As you can see in Image 2, the idea is to have two types of control over the smoker.  Smoke, and heat.  By separating the burner into a second barrel that sits beneath the first, this greatly simplifies my ability to control both.  By adding bricks (firebricks are a must) to the design, I will be able to retain heat and much more easily regulate the temperature of the smoker by adjusting the amount of Oxygen (air) that I let in to the “Oxygen Vent” (Image 1).  Check on #2 and #3.
