When it comes to homesteading landscaping is a major part of it and it requires just as much thought and process and any other project that you have around the homestead.
Especially if you have or are planning on having livestock, horses or any other type of animal ou there roaming around there are certain things that you need to know about trees and how they affect your homestead.
For example, there are trees who carry blossoms that if eaten could poison your livestock, there are root systems that are seriously unstable and well, let's face it pollens that are seriously annoying for anyone with allergies.
So grab a drink and let's take a look at some of these trees to make sure you do not make the same mistakes that others did.

Half of those are great for the homestead. Mullburry is good for chickens. Black walnut produce walnuts, ginko and willow produce medicine, maple produce sugars.
Research & make your own decisions
I Love our Black Wanut, wonderful shade tree, no problems growing anything near or around it, the hulls make a beautiful stain, and absolutely nothing is better in Fudge than black walnuts!
cedar too
It depends on how much land you have, but some of these would be fine in the correct location.

So say don’t plant these tree for lazy people who don’t want to deal with branches or fruits that these tree produce. Nothing wrong or bad about any of the trees listed.
