The Story Of How One Guy Used Herbs To Help In The Recovery Of An Open Wound

  • Every survivalist knows that medical attention will be difficult or impossible to come by during a collapse. This means that we may have to use what is around us in nature or what we have with us to deal with any problems such as open wounds. If you can find or have these herbs, you'll be stunned by how well they can close a wound. Here is what one guy did when he was faced with that very situation.

The Herbs That Can Help Heal An Open Wound On An Animal Are:

I made up an herbal formula with anti-infection herbs and herbs that helped regrow and restore tissue. The herbs I used included cat’s claw, Echinacea, goldenseal, slippery elm and comfrey. The formula was mixed with a little water and then added directly to the wound. After seeing some pus, I changed the strategy to adding the herbs in Ginger’s food and she gladly gobbled them up three times daily.

Every two days, there was a visible closing of the wound circumferentially by about one-fourth an inch.  The wound finally healed up completely without any stitches.

Another Story Of How These Herbs Worked On A Human Wound Is:

The two herbs that help regenerate the skin and tissues are slippery elm and comfrey. Slippery elm is an herb that is always used to provide abundant nutrients and phytonutrients and help reconstruct tissue. Comfrey may be used topically. Wounds heal when the body has all the right nutrients.
In herbal school, our teacher,  Dr. Christopher, told stories of how he used these herbs. One story was of a little girl who suffered from a completely shattered pelvis.
The girl could not move because of excruciating pain. The family called Dr. Christopher to come out for a house call.
He mixed slippery elm with a little water to make a paste, packed it into the wound after cleaning it; then covered it.  The family was instructed to continue packing the moistened herb into the area every day.   When the little girl was x-rayed, there was no sign of any fracture.

As you can see in both cases these herbs provided the body with the nutrients it need to heal the wound. Since medical attention most likely won't be available right away in a survival situation, you will definitely want to make sure you have or can find these herbs. They will keep the wound from getting worse. They might just be vital to your very survival.
