Man Flies Drone inside “Glory Hole Spillway” That Hasn’t Been Seen In a Decade

  •

Sitting up against the side of a 304-foot dam, Lake Berryessa is famous for its “Glory Hole” spillway, an incredible sight to behold when at full capacity. Sadly it has been about a decade since anyone has seen enough water in the lake to witness this sight.

Measuring at the widest part of the opening, the hole is 72 feet across and, as it travels down the funnel, eventually narrows down to 28 feet. The water flows through the funnel and eventually drains into Putah Creek.

It's hard not to be mesmerized by the footage. Take a look and let us know what you think.

Although man-made its a strange sight to behold. Have you ever come across these before? Let us know in the comments below.

I would not say it is awesome, the title is misleading, as the drone did not fly into the “Man Made” hole. It is nothing more then an overflow drain. Now, had the person allow the drone or camera to go into the drain with a 360 degree camera on and go through the entire system, now that would have been interesting to see.
