Include All The Key Elements of an Outdoor Space

  • There are four elements that you will want to incorporate into any outdoor living space.

    1.) Fire

This is a significant feature as it brings a sense of warmth and comfort to this area. This can be accomplished with any fire pit or even a small tabletop fire pit. We have a few options for those who want to create their own at a low cost rather than purchasing from a store. You can find them here and here.

    2.) Water

The sound of water is proven to one of the most relaxing sounds around. So much, so that entire albums and machines are created solely to emit the sound of running water. This is something you should consider including in your outdoor space.

    3.) Shade

No one likes to sit in the blistering hot sun. It makes people cranky and increases the risk of heatstroke. This is why shade may be the most important thing when considering the plans for your outdoor open air space. A good structure will also protect you and your guest from the elements such as rain or snow allowing you to remain outside for longer periods of time.

    4.) Earth

Earthen elements, such as plants, rock, and other natural materials, provide year-round interest. Some elements, like stone paving and rock walls, anchor the space, while others, such as trees, shrubs and flowers, are fleeting and change throughout the seasons. Now that you have all of these to consider how will it change the way that you build or assemble your outdoor space?
