Black powder is one of those things that is necessary when you're planning your bug out bag or shelter.
Commonly used as a propellant in fireworks or weapons black powder is a fine powder that has many uses. Now before we begin we have to throw out this disclaimer:
Black Powder, like many things in life, is dangerous but if you use it correctly for its intended purpose, and you understand the local and state laws then you will be fine.

To make & store black powder in the UK you need a munitions license , almost impossible to get .

same here in Canada. you need all the same permits that you would have for purchasing ammo or guns. except to acquire the skill needed to do it, not really much savings involved financially considering how hard it can be to find the proper ingredients.
I thought those were easier to get then a regular gun? I have a black powder copy of a colt SAA that was made for Europe. They offset the hammer so there’s no way for it to take a cartridge

Have been making and using my own BP for years. These instructions are only 1/2 right and leaves out a very important step, “corning or grandulation”. Doing it there way only makes a type of weak powder that is subject to separation called “mill powder”.
