How To Make Solar Pool Heaters For Cheap

  • With all of the materials that you now have, you will want to start out by getting organized and separating them into groups. Go through the list again and make sure that you have everything. There is nothing worse than starting a project only to find out halfway through you are missing pieces.

Step 1:  Glue a90-degree elbow onto each PVC pipe and assemble square pvc frame
Step 2: Cut black plastic slightly larger than the frame and temporarily secure with duct tape.
Step 3: Cut lengths of foam insulation to fit each side. The pipe insulation should have an adhesive film. This will secure the black foam to the plastic.
Step 4: In addition to the foams adhesive, burn several holes through the black plastic and use wire ties to clamp the foam to the PVC as shown.
And that's it! You are all set! Like we said it's super simple and it works. This renders one heating square so depending on the size of the pool you will need to either enlarge the dimensions of each one or make multiple heating squares. I went with a mixture of both
