Cleaning Hacks That Will Keep Everything Sparkling

  • There's something revitalizing about cleaning your home. With these cleaning hacks, you may even enjoy cleaning your floors, carpets and counters. Not only will your house smell nice, it'll look nice. Each of these takes 10 minutes or less to complete. They're particularly useful if you have company coming over last minute, you can do a few of these to spruce up your home if need be.

    1. Use Lemons for Polishing

    All you need to do is soak lemon peels in a jar of vinegar, and let it sit for two weeks.

    2. Kill Bad Odor with Citrus-Rosemary Cubes

    In each of the boxes of an ice cube tray, place some chopped citrus and rosemary. Pour over some vinegar. Freeze your citrus-rosemary cubes.

    3. Mix Water and Vinegar to Clean the Carpet

    Put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray on the stain. Cover with a damp cloth and steam-iron afterward.

    4. Use a Hanger Wire for Cleaning the Oven

    Simply twist the hanger wire into sort of a wand. Wrap a piece of cleaning wipe at the end using a rubber band and voila!

    5. Make Use of Old Socks as Swiffer Pads

    Quit buying those expensive Swiffer replacement pads and just use an old pair of socks instead!

    6. Clean the Fridge in 3 Minutes

    7. Remove Gunk with a 2-Ingredient Solution

    Here’s all you need to make them look and feel brand new after washing: laundry detergent, powdered detergent, bleach, Borax, and really hot water.

    Simply dip in some vinegar your towels, toothbrush, or whatever it is you use for cleaning!
