There are many conflicting opinions about how the American people should be defending themselves. Actually, it's one of the most hotly debated topics around the country. Our nation is split down the middle when it comes to such a personal and controversial topic however we can all agree that we want to remain as safe as possible, particularly at a time in our history when terrorist attacks are so prevalent.
There is no reason that people cannot feel safe just going about their daily lives. We should not have to feel nervous about normal activities such as going to the airport, heading to a movie theater, or going to school.
So what can we do to minimize the chances of becoming a victim of these unpredictable attacks? Again, we all have our own way of dealing with it yet there is one Sherriff who is making waves with his own brand of truthfulness. His remarks often land him in hot water but he does not mind for it's his job to put the safety of his community and his deputies first.
One example of such controversial comments come from when he shared his opinion about how citizens should be protecting themselves until police have arrived at the scene. If you're someone who has a concealed carry you might feel prepared to handle anything that comes your way… others may have more trouble.

There are no figures or way to project how many times just having a gun stops some thug from trying to victimize you! Often they leave out where the thug was shot dead and no crime was committed because shooting a thug trying to thug on you is NOT A CRIME!

“If you need to shoot somebody, shoot them a lot” haha this officer has the right idea… Like he said we’re responsible for protecting ourselves til forces gets there… an armed intruder isnt gonna stand back and wait to attack until backup arrives. Sometimes the cops cant get there in time, that’s one reason we have the right to carry in the first place. We def need to go to the range more… And practice knife defense with our trainers.
