7 Creative Uses for Cinder Blocks

    7. Use Cinder Blocks in Your Garden for a Raised Bed Garden

This is a very easy to do, practical and money-saving design for a raised bed in your garden using nothing more than a few cinder blocks and some dirt or potting soil.

You just have to arrange the cinder block in a rectangular shape, fill the inner spaces with dirt and voila, job’s done!

Cinderblocks are seriously amazing and the concrete is pretty fire resistant so they are great for grilling or well, bug out structures. You can also build storage shelves for your bug out pantry and a plethora of other items. from benches to fire pits and pools, there really isn’t anything cinder blocks can’t be used for! They are definitely important to have for survival and even everyday improvements around the home!

Lowes will often carry cinder blocks for a very fair price. Normally a standard core concrete block which is what you saw in these examples will run you 1.50 a block. They also have cap concrete that is slightly more expensive at just over 2.00 a block. I would suggest a mix of the two depending on the project.

Or you can just keep an eye out as you drive around town because im sure you're bound to find them laying around somewhere….although steer clear of construction sites…they don't like it when you take their cinderblocks.
