Just a few years ago, having a “bug out” vehicle would have seemed a little eccentric, something that only conspiracy theorists or fanatic survivalists might have. However, in today's increasingly erratic and tumultuous world, having such a vehicle is actually a smart and practical decision that could spell the difference between life and death. So what is a bug out vehicle? Well, it's basically a vehicle you'd use if you needed to get the heck out of dodge – and quick!

In the case of a natural disaster or other SHTF situation, you might need to flee quickly. But simply hopping in the family car and taking off might not get you very far.
