The stars and stripes blowing in the winds of WWIII is not something we want to see anytime soon. While we love Old Glory we would much rather save the lives of our servicemen although we know they would without hesitation go where needed.
But what about the rest of us? Where would we go?
We all know that you cannot outrun those bombs once they start flying so the best bet is to plant yourself in a space that is relatively safe from the get go. This, of course, is easier said than done. How do you know what is safe? Well, the video below makes a few points as to which are the 10 safest countries should WWIII break out.
My parents visited New Zealand awhile back and while yes it is a very beautiful country I am not sure I am ready to leave the Good Ole U.S.A just yet.
While it's always great to have options and it's good to know what they are, this video brings to light a more important underlying subject matter and that is the fight or flight tendency of human nature. In particular the flight aspect of it. While this video helps us in pinpointing where we might want to live, it also reminds us of our more cowardly nature. Let’s go run and hide, although wise in some respects, is hardly what we’ve been training for and building up our strength to endure. Certainly, we can survive just as easily, possibly more-so, in Fiji as in Ohio but as great as Fiji, is it’s not positioned in the land we love and respect.
While we can prepare and build and stock up on supplies when push comes to shove what are we going to do. When the boots are on your doorstep and the sky is black with the fog of war will we run to another country simply because ours is under attack?
For me, my feet will remain firmly planted on U.S. soil but in the end, the choice is yours.
