Without fail every spring and summer as the temperatures so do man's desire to repair and renovate almost every aspect of their homes.  I believe this to be ingrained in our systems, just as a pregnant woman “nests” right before a child is born with every spring comes the desire for change.

While the desire for change is imminent there are times when our capabilities do not match our wishes.

We have all had those times when projects went astray no matter how much we tried to keep them on course. Those short cuts that seemed like such a good idea at the time failed to deliver or they looked as if they would work however 6 months later everything falls apart.

So we went looking for some of those mistakes. The most common ones that happen time and time again in hopes that we will read this list and warn those who would try to cut corners and skip steps. Take heed to our warning. If you don't have time to do it correctly now you will not have time to fix it later.
