Properly Preserving Milk at Home

  • As a survivalist, you're laser-focused on stockpiling the right items in the right quantity without wasting money. You need items that are versatile and long-lasting since you could need them at any moment and you don't know how long an unexpected crisis could last. There are plenty of tools, weapons and appliances you could gather to make your life easier after a disaster, but none of that matters if you're not properly storing your food. You won't last long without nourishment.

    We always name water as the first item on our prepper list. It makes sense since we can't last more than a few days without it. What's next on your list? You're probably thinking canned food is a good idea since it should last long. However, you want things that are multi-use yet have the desired shelf life. Milk is an item that fits those characteristics. It seems like such an odd choice because we often come across milk that has gone bad in our own refrigerators so how on earth would be we able to make it last as a survival food? Turns out, there are actually several ways to preserve and use milk when you're in survival mode!
