It Only Takes About Three Seconds To Pick a Lock

  • Locks are a funny thing. They give the illusion that you or your belongings are safe from people when in fact, there are a few ways that you can get into a lock with just a couple of tools and a few seconds of your time.

I once heard my grandpa say that locks only ensure that your belongings are safe from honest people and now that I'm older I am realizing that he is right. While locks are a great deterrent for the lazy thief looking for quick access they are not a foolproof way to keeping everything safe and in some situations may do more harm than good.

So what happens when what you need is stuck behind a lock you do not have the key for? So how do you get past those heavy duty Master locks? You don’t need any special drills or a magnifying glass. All you need is to feel for a certain clicking sound and the lock pop’s open…

I tried a few master locks I had around my camper when I first got my lockpicking kit in the mail. Zero prior knowledge of how, it took me a couple seconds for each one, every time. Was even able to open my truck door.

A 2lb sledge easily knocks a master combination lock off….use the heel of my shoe for cheap ones before! The master with a key is another story though
