How To Modify An AM Radio To Receive Shortwave Broadcasts When SHTF

  • When SHTF, one of the most important tools to have is a method of communication. Or just ensure you have short wave radio receiver in your gear. You could put out 1,000 pages of instruction on this site, and I’m sure people don’t print them out (you realize no internet will be availabe, right?) so just purchase a cheap short wave radio, or better yet, become an amateur radio operator and learn how to communicate in a grid down scenario. If you are cracking open an AM radio (who really has one anymore anyway?) and trying to remember how to modify it, you are way behind the preparedness curve and should just roll over and accept defeat.
