How To Make A Washing Machine Out of a 5 Gallon Bucket

  •

    Step 2:

    Drill holes in the plunger.

Tip: Again, it'ss best not to make too many holes or ones that are too large. The plunger will fall apart faster, develop cracks, or not move the clothes around as well.

Washer Hack For Heavier Garments: If you find that the plunger does not work for heavy garments, you may be better served by making a finned agitator and attaching a wooden handle to it.

    Step 3:

Drill a hole in the center of the top lid. Place the plunger handle through the hole and make sure that it can move around easily. If it cannot then adjust as needed.

And there you have it. A fully functional DIY washing machine. Now don't worry we have compiled an explanation of how to utilize this on the next page.

Lol.. couldn’t help myself. I thought you’d get a laugh at it. I used to use a rubber tote and an old wash board sister. That was just 3 years ago too.
