How To Make a Secret Door That Looks Like a Bookcase

I have alway had a fascination with secret rooms. I blame the movies where the guy walks over to the fireplace or bookcase and pulls a simple lever and opens a hallway that leads to an underground bunker of some sort. Now that I am older and looking to renovate our basement I thought it would be fun to make it into a cool entrance to a family room.

So I did what anyone else would do in this moment and hit up the internet for some advice. Knowing that this sort of project would cost an arm and a leg through any other company I decided that it would be best to go it alone on this project.

Needless to say, it turned out AMAZING and everyone I show this to is floored. That, of course, gave me the idea of showing you guys where I was able to locate not only the tools that were used but the instructions that go along with it.

I HIGHLY recommend this build. It's fun, a lot easier than I thought and a GREAT conversation piece when friends come over.
