3 Emergency Shelters Every Survivalist Should Learn How to Build

  • These DIY Structures Might Just Save Your Life!

Whether you're heading out into the wild for a weekend of camping, or you're preparing for a potential SHTF situation, one crucial skill you should learn is how to build a basic, improvised shelter using what you find around you. After all, you never know what might happen. Perhaps you only planned to be out a few hours, but get caught in bad weather or get lost and have to take shelter.

Plus, in the unfortunate event you have to flee and take refuge in the woods, you'll need to create some kind of shelter so you can stay warm, safe and dry. And if it's a crisis situation, you might not have time to bring your own tent or tarp system. Fortunately, there are several ways to make a make-do and temporary shelter, and we have three here that we think everyone should know. These are pretty basic, and so are meant as a last resort, for example if you weren't able to bring a tent or something similar with you.
