Here's the complete step-by-step process for making a simple hydrogen generator. Even a novice DIYer can make this!
Take steel sheet
cut it into 2.5″*2.5″ pieces
make holes at the centre
connect them as shown in the diagram
Place it inside a plastic bottle
Make a hole on the bottle and connect a plastic pipe.
Connect lead wires
Use silicon to make the bottle air tight
Pour salt water into the bottle
close the bottle
connect leads to 12v battery
And that's it! Wow! Isn't that simple? We had no idea something like this could be so easy to make. And it's an incredibly practical tool, which makes it even better. We highly recommend giving this DIY hydrogen generator a try!

Awesome!!
Slightly inaccurate. When you separate water into oxygen and hydrogen, you get two different gasses made. There is a way to separate them which is done when using this process to generate oxygen or hydrogen. In this setup however, yes water is split into hydrogen and oxygen, but those gases are not separated, so what is coming out of that tube is a mixture of both and is not “pure hydrogen” as claimed in this video. Otherwise, this is a great science experiment for kids, and a brilliantly simple idea that with a few tweaks could really be useful for making pure gases.
Good way to blow your self up if you dont know what your doing. Been their done that
what can you use it for?
