Just when we thought there wouldn't be a good use for those silly tree stumps someone goes and has a great idea.

I am not one to pass up the opportunity to try out new ideas and this one was no exception.

My brother was cutting up an old tree that had fallen during a bad summer storm last week. Now there were still parts of the tree that were good but mother nature decided that she no longer needed to remain standing so down she went.

Of course, both of us being the avid DIY'ers that we are looked at it with glee as he got out his chainsaw and went to work. The fire pit got a good amount of it but the parts that were still salvageable were set off to the side for us to divide between the two of us.

I was super excited because I had been wanting to bring in more natural elements into the home and we needed some end tables in the living room so I put two and two together and decided that was the project that I was going to tackle.

Now all I needed was a plan and I am so glad I found this one. It's super simple and versatile and can be kept simple of expanded upon as you wish. So let's take a look at what I did.
