Odds are, if you’re a prepper or survivalist, you might already have paracord. Even if you don't, this bracelet costs little to make. Your friends, family and party guests will even appreciate one. It’s a non-invasive and inexpensive way to keep mosquitos at bay during those summer nights. All you have to do is slip it on your wrist!
Materials
- 24″ of paracord
- scissors
- lighter
- citronella essential oil
Make a loop the size of your wrist in the center of the cord with the left side crossing over the right.
Take the right side of the cord and loop it over. Repeat the right-side loop on the “inside” of the loop you just made. Bring the tail to the front of your two loops and pull through.
Flip and repeat this process with the other side.
Trim your ends about 1/8″ from the base of the knot. Seal frayed ends with a lighter but make sure not to melt the ends into the knot.
Add a few drops of citronella essential oil to the bracelet. Let it soak in for a few minutes. To adjust sizing, slide one knot towards the other.
