
The though of a disaster striking our location is enough to make us overly prepare and feel overwhelmed. We put pressure on ourselves to create that perfect stockpile coupled with top-notch gadgets and weaponry needed to outlast any type of disaster for any length of time. We do our research and make an escape plan, but we can't always predict what's coming our way.
Unfortunately, there are many factors, such as duration and intensity, that we can't control when it comes to an unmitigated disaster. But we can control how we react and adapt to such an occurrence. Most people would say that a stockpile with plenty of water and food is the most important part of a disaster plan. However, those people would be skipping over an area even more important.
