Man Charged with 2 Felonies After Scamming Hunters

  • There is nothing new about the art of the scam. The core of it is still the same. You have one person who would rather try and get rich quick than work hard (Andy Wulf) and you also have the unsuspecting hard working victims, in this case, the hunters.

Now Wulf owns an establishment called Whitetail Ridge Outfitters which operates out of Iowa and parts of Missouri. Several parties have come forward with complaints that he was dropping them on properties that he had no permission to be on and all complaints stated that he would after a day or so abandon them at a hotel unfamiliar to them and simply not answer any of their calls or texts as to his whereabouts.

One group complained that he led them to a hunt stand and told them to hunt there when the stand was actually in a residential area 30 feet from someone's backyard.

Kevin Williams, of Baton Rouge, La., told the Des Moines Register, “We were hunting while kids were playing the backyard. I told him, ‘Hey, this is the worst hunt I’ve been on.’”

Wulf has scammed tens of thousands of dollars from unsuspecting hunters looking for a guided hunt. His facebook page says that from one group alone he has taken over 18,000 and this is not the first time he has had legal trouble. Back in 2013, he was also charged for aiding an illegal deer hunt.
