It would be the most frustrating experience to come across a body of saltwater while desperately needing water, but lacking the necessary knowledge to make it drinkable. Learning the desalination process should be something everything survivalist has in their skillset.

1. Use the big container and put the round black lid inside it.

   

2. Place the small cup in the middle of the container on the black lid.

   

3. Add seawater but don't spill it in your cup.

   

4. Put the plastic over the container and fasten with elastic band.

   

5. Add a small weight on the plastic so that the plastic points down to your cup.

   

6. Wait for the water to evaporate.
