It's so satisfying to create something with your own two hands. The recycling movement has fed our creative energy and allowed us to combine upcycling with DIY projects. We can design and build our own unique products from seemingly useless and inexpensive materials. With upcycling, we save money while producing an item unlike anything else out there.
This coat rack, for example, uses burnt out light bulbs and reclaimed wood. Those two materials seem to be relatively worthless. However, this DIY project shows you how to reuse those light bulbs so that they are converted into a way to hold your clothes when they can no longer provide light. The same goes for the reclaimed wood. They are given new purposes that prolong their life!
Continue on to see how to make this light bulb coat rack!
