4 Military Survival Tactics Everyone Should Know

  • First things first and that is to understand that the military takes into consideration personal protection and defense.

    SIMPLICITY

The military has learned that simplicity is required for survival.  If you want to survive, you have to keep things simple, and then become as good as possible at being simple as well.  By overcomplicating what needs to be done in survive, you’ll only waste valuable time and energy and be in a far worse state as well.

    DECEPTION & EVASION

One thing to keep in mind when it comes to survival is that your enemy is everywhere. Whether you are the prey to a pack of hungry wolves or trying to stay unnoticed around another group of people you want to make sure you fully understand the concept of deception & evasion.

Sun Tzu was the one who said that war is not about fighting, but about deception.

One of the first things that the military learns is that armed combat is usually a last resort. It is used only when all other avenues have been exhausted. So avoid it when possible. There are numerous tactics when it comes to deception and evasion so we suggest studying those carefully.

    ESCAPING WHEN CAPTURED

I don't know anyone who if captured and being held against their will that is going to resign themselves to their fate. Everyone I know will immediately begin looking for a way out. Always learn the different techniques to get out of a sticky situation such as how to get out of zip ties or how to pick a lock.

IF YOU HAVE TO FIGHT PREPARE FOR SHORT DISTANCE ENGAGEMENTS

The soldiers of the U.S Military and Navy SEALs are taught to engage targets at within twenty to thirty meters at most.  Engagements up to a hundred meters or more are left to the marksmen.  If anything, any kind of an armed confrontation that you find yourself in that requires you to use deadly force is going to be up close and personal.  You may end up using your fists rather than your gun.

There are many more tactics that are taught so if you would like, check out the link below. If you know of any that you feel would be worth mentioning let us know in the comments below.
