      Yeah Missouri,, Iowa,, Idaho,, Nebraska have alot. I saw when on the Road driving Semi truck. They have alot of Blizzards and Tornadoes. Makes since.

      I remember underground houses gaining popularity in the 70’s. There were tax incentives for alternative energy innovation.
      We developed many techniques for underground construction.
      Similar to bridge construction,
      shoring systems work very well.
      Shot Crete and inflatable forms work very well too.
