After 10K Hours in a 700 Year old Cave Man’s Off Grid Home is now Complete

  • When Anglo Mastropietro received news from the Doctor that he had  MS, he took a good long look at his life. The young business man had dreams of living a life in the woods steeped in the beauty of nature. It was this longing that led him to sink all his money into a fantastically impressive project.

Almost entirely on his own, Anglo transformed a 700-year-old cavern into a modern day work of art that anyone would admire. The cave home sits perched in the face of 250 million-year-old sandstone cliffs that are said to have inspired J.R.R. Tolkien to write Lord Of The Rings.

It took years of hard work, tons of money and some incredibly clever thinking, but Anglo’s cave home is really something special. The simple interior has a natural feel, but at the same time unique and luxurious in its design.

Check it out and let us know what ou think!

I love it! However, #fortcollins would totally ban this. And Tiny Houses. And off grid. Can’t feed city coffers if you’re off the system. Which, btw, they keep preaching to reduce environmental impact and pay extra for wind and solar energy yet BAN any effort to do so. #fuckedifyoudofuckedifyoudont

Priorities. Their strategy for priorities matches that of my 9 yr old—makes no sense, mainly self centered, and very irresponsible and biased lol

Hmmm? Where is this? If I wanted to live in a cave I’d get fined n people who tell me I shouldn’t ruin things like it. Must be nice to be rich n do what you want. Just saying.
