What To Do When A Bug Out Location Becomes Ground Zero

  • With extreme weather becoming more and more common, people are making a mad dash to create a plan B for themselves if SHTF. Hurricane Harvey is reminding us of that. Stockpiling and securing your own home is one way to maximize survival. However, if your home is too close to the disaster or if you are not home when the disaster strikes, you're out of luck.

    That's when it becomes a good idea to build a bug-out shelter on a separate piece of property miles away from your residence. It's reassuring to know you'll have a secure place to go if your location faces a crisis.
