This WWII-Inspired Thumb Dagger Is a Really Cool Piece of Survival Gear!

  • If there's one thing we can't get enough of, it's the cloak-and-dagger espionage and survival tactics used by agents and operatives during World War II. Warfare and intelligence gathering underwent and pivotal shift during this era, and some of the tactics used back then are still relevant today, and useful for anyone who's interested in survival techniques.

One of our favorites is the concealed dagger used by both British SOE (Special Operations Executive) and the American OSS (Office of Strategic Services). These agents gave these little thumb daggers to their agents working behind enemy lines, to be used as a last resort if they found themselves in a life-or-death situation. One word of caution: while these thumb daggers are an amazing piece of history, they may or may not be legal depending on your location, so it's best not to carry them. However, they are a nice way to acknowledge the efforts of the many agents who worked behind the scenes to protect our safety and independence.

I, actually, received something similar to this years ago; by accident.
