Pay close attention to the way he sets up his body, using the pad, then lifts the log over his shoulder. His words of wisdom should also be taken to heart when he says “If you can't set the log upright do NOT put it on your shoulder!”

What I found most interesting was how it was much easier to lift the nine-foot log over the six feet log. It makes sense as he described it but it simply sounds like it would be simpler to move the smaller tree.
