One City in Brazil is Making Septic Tanks Out of Tires and Other Cities May Soon Follow!

  • This Is An Amazing Invention That Will Make People's Lives Better!

For many people, living in a sustainable way is an essential part of living a DIY or homesteading lifestyle. This helps people more self-sufficient and makes it easier for them to go off the grid, but it also limits the impact that their day-to-day activities have on the environment. Plus, sustainable practices can help save money over traditional practices, as well as make things accessible to rural areas or areas where some modern conveniences simply aren't practical or feasible.

This is certainly the case in Brazil, where recycled tires are being used to make sustainable septic tanks. The country has a major sanitation issue, including when disposing of solid waste. To address this, Uberlândia Prefecture developed a method of transforming recycled tires into extremely efficient septic tanks. The city of Uberlândia even wants to share this knowledge so other cities can benefit, writing a manual to help others replicate their results.
