When we see the clouds start to roll in and the thunder begin to sound in the distance, we make a beeline for the indoors. It's never convenience to be caught in the middle of a thunderstorm. Forget about being uncomfortably soaked. You also don't want to risk being struck by lightning, particularly if you're at higher elevations.

Lightning is equally dangerous and amazing. We've all found ourselves staring out the window during a thunderstorm watching the bright and forceful lines of lightning flash to the ground. It's beautiful from a distance, but we wouldn't want to find ourselves caught at the tail end of one of those strikes.
