How To Make A Washing Machine Out of a 5 Gallon Bucket

  • I noticed this project awhile back and had been toying with the idea of making it just to say that I have one. Honestly, I had to giggle when I saw it because if the world goes to garbage and there is no electricity doing laundry will probably be the least of my concerns. I mean honestly, I hate doing it now when I have a fancy washing machine that has more buttons than the Mars Rover.

Now, don't take my humor as a diss on this project because I can see how in a camping or survivalist situation this project could come in handy. After all, no one wants to wash a ton of laundry one item at a time.

For this particular project, we are using a 5-gallon bucket however I am sure with a few tweaks you can use something a little larger. So what we have done is compiled for you on the next page a list of things that you will need as well as tips and tricks to help you get this project underway. There is even a video on the last page!

Lol.. couldn’t help myself. I thought you’d get a laugh at it. I used to use a rubber tote and an old wash board sister. That was just 3 years ago too.
