I love fire pits! Seriously, it does not matter if it is summer, winter, spring, or fall this is one item that gets used year round!

There are so many different kinds of fire pits that you can build/buy, but to me, it's best if the one you have is one you have made with your hands. Again that is simply a personal preference.  There is also something I love about cast iron. Its strength, it's durability and its aesthetic all combine to make something that I feel is authenticly rustic and outdoorsy.

So what we have done is compile for you on the next page a set of instructions and materials needed for this awesome DIY project that takes a discarded sugar kettle and makes it into this fantastic fire pit.
