      Use tool steel. Rebar is what they make out of whatever is left at the end of a run. I’ve seen mild steel, machining steel with lead in it, and even armor plate.

      Don’t roll the dice. Use something real. Car springs are good, and I’ve had success with lawnmower blades. Or pay $10 for O1 tool steel and make something that will last longer than you do.
