Firewood Comparison Chart: A Must Read for Everyone

  • When looking to build a fire it's always good to know which wood is the best to use and when. Many times you may be limited to what is readily available however this information is great to have handy so you know what you're working with.

    So what we have done is hunted down a couple of charts for you that will help you along the way. These charts explain the pro's and con's of the various kinds of wood and the second chart explains a little more in depth things such as how hard it is to ignite how long it burns etc.

      A good article , I found a good fireplace store has nicely catagorized types of wood for your area that tell you which type of wood is availabe for that area only and the BTU’s rating for each wood and length of burn , if it’s used as a whole log piece or split , and amount of ash produced for clean out .
