7 Out of the Box Uses For Cinderblock

  • If there is one thing I love it's finding amazing uses for common things.

Cinderblocks are one of those items that I often see laying around in random places and sold in any of the major or independent home improvement stores.  I often wonder, what do people use them for? Sure, there is the obvious uses when it comes to building structures but like many things, there is more than one way to use it.

Chances are if you look around you can find these laying anywhere and won’t need to go to Lowes or Home Depot for materials but if you do make sure to pick up a bunch because there are endless uses for them if you have a little bit of time and a whole lot of creativity.

So what we have done is compiled for you on the next page a list of some of the most creative ways you can use cinder blocks for survival purposes.

Mel and Daniel have built one of these. They sometimes put veggies in their camping pot for Sabbath tea

They will blow up if around intense heat. They have air pockets that will expand and could blow if subjected to high heat and would not want to be around if it does happen. Seen it happen before so I would not suggest the fire place.

These are concrete blocks, not cinder blocks. Cinder blocks have not been made for years.

Using Cinder block for Non-heated containments is fine. Using it under extreme heat conditions is not good. The concrete becomes brittle and weak. Basically, it crumbles!!!!

I’ve seen the cinder blocks shatter from the heat of the fire pit very stupid idea

If for a fire pit ? Not good they can’t hold the heat they crack and fall apart js

Except when cinder blocks get to hot they “spawl” or explode and shoot chunks of concrete everywhere. Not wise. Not wise at all
